The Maria Kaupas Academy Upper School is a hybrid program for grades 9-12, meeting three days a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays) from September through May. We begin with students aged 14-15, in the late logic phase, and advance to studies in rhetoric beginning the second or third year.
Recognizing parents as the primary educators of their children, the Upper School comprises homeschooled students yet provides a fully comprehensive and rigorous Classical Catholic education. The descriptor “hybrid" denotes that MKA meets only three days a week, thus allowing parents to use the remaining weekdays however they see fit. Thus, while our curriculum leaves no need for parents to supplement at home, our hybrid model allows parents to do so if they choose.
Mass is offered as a part-and-parcel of every school day.
The school faculty includes an in-house MDHSA-certified Homeschool Evaluator, offering transcript and diploma assistance.
